Terms of Service

Welcome to Bar Bench House ("BBH", "we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using our platform at barbenchhouse.in, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

  • "Platform" means the Bar Bench House website, mobile applications, and all related services.
  • "Client" means any individual or entity that registers to use our services.
  • "Expert" means a verified professional (CA, Advocate, CS, Tax Consultant) onboarded on our platform.
  • "Services" means taxation, legal, and compliance services offered through the Platform.
  • "Lead" means a service request submitted by a Client.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • By using the Platform, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.

3. Account Registration

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at support@barbenchhouse.in.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Services Provided

BBH is a technology platform that connects Clients with verified legal, taxation, and compliance professionals. We facilitate:

  • Income Tax Return filing (ITR-1 through ITR-7)
  • GST registration and return filing
  • Legal consultations, contract drafting, and notice management
  • Company incorporation and business registration
  • Compliance management (ROC, FSSAI, trademark, PF/ESIC, etc.)

BBH acts as an intermediary platform. While we verify expert credentials and oversee service quality, the professional advice and filings are rendered by the assigned Expert. BBH is not a law firm or chartered accountancy firm.

5. Service Delivery & SLA

  • Each service has an indicative Service Level Agreement (SLA) mentioned on its listing page.
  • SLA timelines begin after all required documents are submitted by the Client and payment is confirmed.
  • Delays caused by government portals, regulatory bodies, or Client non-responsiveness are not counted towards SLA.
  • We will keep you informed of progress through the platform dashboard.

6. Pricing & Payments

  • Service fees are quoted on a case-by-case basis in compliance with professional regulations (BCI, ICAI, ICSI). Fees are inclusive of platform charges and exclusive of government charges unless stated otherwise.
  • Payment is required before service commencement.
  • We accept payments via Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets).
  • GST-compliant invoices will be issued for every transaction.

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete, and timely information and documents.
  • Respond to queries from the assigned Expert within a reasonable time.
  • Do not submit fraudulent, false, or misleading information.
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of information provided for filings.

8. Expert Code of Conduct

All Experts on our platform are bound by:

  • Professional ethics of their respective regulatory body (BCI, ICAI, ICSI).
  • BBH quality standards and SLA commitments.
  • Confidentiality obligations regarding client data.
  • Regular performance reviews and client feedback evaluation.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, design, and technology on the Platform are owned by BBH or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • BBH shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service in question.
  • We are not responsible for decisions made by government authorities, courts, or regulatory bodies regarding your filings or cases.

11. Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes shall first be resolved through amicable negotiation.
  • If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
  • The seat of arbitration shall be New Delhi, India.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any conduct harmful to BBH or other users. Ongoing services at the time of termination will be handled as per our Refund Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
